Thupten Choling Nunnery, Boudhanath, Nepal

Thupten Chöling (Wyl. thub bstan chos gling) is the retreat community and monastery established by Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche in the 1960s in the Solukhumbu district of northeastern Nepal. Over 900 monks and nuns (80% of whom are Tibetan refugees) who live there, under Trulshik Rinpoche’s care.  The monastery suffered serious damage and more than 200 nuns were rescued and shifted to temporary place near Boudhanath Stupa.

Beneficiaries of the project. 

More than 200 Nuns were examined by our Sorig First Aid Kunphen team’s, Dr. Tashi Pedon and Dr. Nyima Bhuti.
